History

DALE Motor Boats has grown from a small family chandlery and boat repair and building business established in 1961 in the Pembrokeshire Village of DALE.

The business opened in larger premises at Neyland Marina in 1983 and, on seeing the exacting standards of our work, Jack Jones commissioned us to fit out a Halmatic hull in 1987.

‘April Rose’ was tested by Motor Boats Monthly which lead to our first fit out of the legendary Nelson hull and the start of Dale’s association long association with TT Boat Designs.

The Nelson hull is ideally suited for vessels that have to go out no matter what the weather so not surprisingly Dale were soon building Pilot Boats and Enforcement Vessels alongside their exquistely finished leisure boats.

With our craftsmen’s abilities to turn their skills equally well to the rugged builds required for working boats, Dale’s reputation for high quality builds soon also grew in the commercial world – eventually, through TT Boat Designs, leading to a contract that would see us building the renowned range of 10m – 13m South Catamarans Ltd hulls.
